  I have been living in El Monte for a couple years. This is probably one of the best taco spot in town. The tacos are delicious, my favorite of all time has to be the cabeza. The green and red sauce are very tasty perfect to go with the tacos or burritos.
  
  Come early because they close at 6:30, definitely worth the trip if your in the area !! The staff is excellent they are quick and friendly!!! And don't forget to bring cash it's cash only !

  Decided to try a New Mexican joint in town and I've had this place bookmarked for quite a while. I came here for lunch on the weekend and there was no wait. I was able to place my order quickly and in less than 10 minutes the food was ready! FYI cash only.
  
  I ordered the Al Pastor Nachos and Carne Asada Tacos. The nachos were huge and stacked with meat! You definitely get your money's worth with the nachos. The tacos were pretty good and similar quality to those in used to.
  
  The only con of this restaurant is the parking. Limited parking and it's difficult to turn into the lot on Magonlia because it's right at the intersection. I opted for street parking because that was easier.

  I was in the area and swung by for some tacos. I ordered Lengua, Al Pastor, Barbacoa, and a Fish Taco. Bear in mind that this place is CASH ONLY!
   - The Lengua was very bland, it really needed some salt or other seasonings to make it more flavorful. All I taste is the salsa, onions, and slight beefiness
   - The Al Pastor was good and tasty. It wasn't amazing or phenomenal, but it was what Al Pastor should taste like
   - The Barbacoa was slightly dry but tasty
   - The Fish Taco was perfectly crispy and well cooked, but again underseasoned. They should mix spices and salt into the batter to give it more flare. The size of the fish was pretty large, so I'm glad they didn't skimp on it.
   - All the tacos have a good amount of meat in them.

  Great fish tacos but overkill on the cabbage. The fish was so nice and crunchy and meaty with every bite. Shrimp was also good in the same batter.
  
  3 stars because their pastor was pretty dry. Nachos also had nacho cheese instead of melted cheese which I expected.

  Hidden in a neighborhood you will not be disappointed if you stop here. Just make sure you bring cash since it's cash only. Lunch time during the week can get busy with locals on their lunch break picking up their call in orders or those enjoying it there. They have benches in a back patio and outside seating. The staff is friendly and everything is made fresh to order. I got the potato tacos which comes with 3 for under $5. The filling has a good spice and you bite into crunchy goodness with the coolness of the lettuce and smoothness of the queso fresco. Everyone was ordering the pepino agua Fresca. Next time I bring more cash that will be a must try. The other delicious looking item are the deep fried quesadillas. Can't wait until I'm in the neighborhood again to try it! There's a small lot and neighbor parking close by.
